Throughout the year, the Tucson Museum of Art and affiliate organizations present special events. Many are well known with great support from the community and are held either on a biennial basis or annually:
Estate of the Art House Raffle: This annual event is very popular indeed and is the core fundraising event for the operation of the museum. Grand prize is the choice of either a house or large cash payout. Other cash prizes are awarded making the odds of at least doubling your money 1 in 100. Estate of the Art kicks off around the first of the year and has an early bird drawing at the end of February with the final drawing in April.
CRUSH Wine Festival: Celebrating the Fine Art of Wine, CRUSH is a two-day wine festival featuring seminars, wine tastings, fine art and rare wine auctions, gourmet dinners, and so much more. Seminars on wine tasting, growing, and enjoyment lead up to the main event on the first weekend of April. That Friday is the CRUSH pARTy, a grand tasting of wines from around the world, hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants, and silent auction of wine, wine accessories, travel, and art. Saturday is the CRUSH Classic with a gourmet, wine-paired dinner and live auction of fine art and rare wine.
Spring Artisan's Market/Holiday Craft Market: For three days in April and three days in November, the courtyards and lobby of the museum are teaming with more than 120 artists offering everything from ceramics and metal work to jewelry and photography. Treat yourself or that someone special with a unique gift from a talented Arizona artist.
Treasure House: Each fall the Tucson Museum of Art League puts on the Treasure House Estate Sale. Filled with treasures and antiques this one weekend event always has lines of people waiting to see what is available at great prices.
Dinner a L'Art: For this spring fundraiser, Tucson Museum of Art League members invite museum staff and community supporters to host gourmet dinners. Dates and menus are available ahead of time so participants can choose a location and cuisine they prefer. Many prefer Dinner a L'Art over a night at a fine restaurant.
Designer Showhouse: Every other year, Designer Showhouse offers area interior designers, landscapers, and craftsman the opportunity to demonstrate their skills at a Tucson area house. Many special events happen in conjunction with this major fundraiser such as the opening gala, cooking demonstrations, design seminars, and fashion shows.
